You can't really prevent it but you can get rid of most if it usi f blotting sheets which are basically little sheets of paper that absorb oil , press them on your face and the oil will come off and you can get them at any drug store.super cheap.

Carry oil blotting sheets with you. Also I got this stuff from bosiac(I don't know spelling) but it's called the little black book. I never had oily skin until I worked at a resturant. I got it at sephora just ask for it and they will help you. The brand carried a lot of good skin stuff including the oil blotting sheets.

I have started using te urban decay makeup setting spray for oil control and it really helps a lot! I also always set my makeup with a powder when I first finish it and when I am about to head out the door also. I also think it helps to pat the powder on instead of swiping it.

If you put a thin layer of milk of magnesia ( found in the pharmacy at drugstores and supercenters) on your face as a primer, it will mattify your skin. Only focus on the oily places though! There are YouTube tutorials on it. You can also buy clean and clear oil absorbing sheets and pat through out the day! Or try the UD deslick spray!! :)

A good skin care range will help, go for ones aimed at oily skin and stay away from moisturisers with oil in them. Then for make up no7 beautifully matte is good, so is Estée Lauder double wear and pro longwear. Also would suggest a matte powder, I like Clinique stay matte. Yes also carry blotting sheets as the girls have suggested

A skin mattifier under makeup really helps. Dermalogica has a great one!

Coconut oil, it prevents your face from producing more oil than it already has plus it clears up acne.
