What brand of make up pods are good and which color would be nice for a gift so I can put in the z pallet.

Well I mean, you can put anything in a Z palette. If you know what style of makeup who ever you're getting it for likes, get shadows from places like Makeup Geek, Coastal Scents, or MAC. Anything you can depot will work, but if you have to depot it and can't buy a pan you'll need to put magnet strips on the back so it stays in.
Like for example, if the person you're getting it for is new to make up, a palette full of neutrals and maybe a few colors may be a good start. If they're all about colors, fill it with blues, purples, pinks, and anything under the sun! Make it fun. But what you fill it with is about the individual.

A z pallet is like a empty pallet but it's magnetic you can put your make up pods in and they'll stick on
