So I shaved my hair off in January to donate it, and it's not growing back at all really.
It's grown about 4 inches from my head and now I'm stuck with a small afro. I don't want to use heat on it I want it to stay natural. I'm black so my hairs very thick and coarse. I always use a headband to hold it back but I'm tired of this look.
Tips? :(

But try curling cremes like Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curl (works wonerfully), add hats, bows, and other cute accessories to your hair. My big thing has been two stranded twists and bantu knots. They've been my life saver when I want me hair to be wavy or a bit more curled.
But here is some hairspiration I look at from time to time to give me ideas.

But if you want to straighten it that's not going to change you being natural, only if you perm it. So if you really want to you could put heat on it, but use a heat protectant and make sure your flat irons are on low. I haven't used heat yet on my hair (its been about a year), but I know its not going to kill your curl pattern as long as you don't have the heat all that high.
Also, try going on Youtube and looking up TWA styles, that helped me a lot.

Props to you for donating it! I donated 18 inches a couple of years ago. :)
