I seriously have the driest skin ever. Nothing helped...
I tried coconut oil, olive oil, expensive lotions, and even at one time I tried putting butter on my face lol.
But I found my answer--Tattoo Goo!
It's a salve made for tattoos while in the healing process but after reading the all natural ingredients and seeing that it didn't clog pores I decided to try it on my face. My skin is so much better! You seriously need to try this if you're at your whits end.

Something that I've also been doing that helps is using Braggs apple cider vinegar as a toner every night and morning. Apple cider vinegar balances pH in hair and skin. However, don't go buy just any brand of apple cider vinegar...buy Braggs. It is organic, raw, and unprocessed so you get all the benefits. I bought a jar of Braggs at Wal-Mart for about $5.

I've heard apple cider vinegar can help with breakouts, is it true? I don't have bad acne or anything but I occasionally breakout and when I do I have trouble getting rid of it.

I will be needing that Tattoo Goo when I go to Chicago Bears game in December. My oily/combo dries up like a prune when I'm a cold snowy weather. My usual alternative smells to high heaven. And my standby oils does nothing. Thank you for the tip Amanda. :)

Wow, this is exactly what I've been looking for! Everyone says they have oily skin problems and it never applies to me because I have dry skin, and finally! Thank you for sharing this, Amanda! And I'm all about natural & organic, so this is perfect!

Cassidy--Acne can be cause because skin is too dry, too oily, or from hormonal inbalances. Apple cider vinegar won't help with hormonal acne but it will help if your ance is caused by being too dry or too oily. Every time after you wash your face the pH becomes unbalanced and the apple cider vinegar makes the pH balanced again. Plus, apple cider vinegar has antibacterial properties. So, to answer your question, it does help with acne/pimples.

Shelly-- Certainly! Glad I could help.

Tu-Quyen&Traci-- No problem! Hope it works for ya ladies. I hate how dry my skin gets in the winter and this has been God sent!

Thank you! I asked that question around a month ago and only got one comment that didn't even answer the question. I appreciate it!

Hey Amanda is the smell of the apple cider vinegar overpowering? does the scent stay for long on your skin?

Cassidy-- no problem!
Sam- the smell is pretty, well, smelly lol but it doesn't linger. If you can handle it while you're applying it then the benefits are totally worth it. If you absolutely can't handle it try putting some essential oils in it to cancel out the smell...maybe some lavender? I'm pregnant and can smell everything so if anyone were to notice a lingering smell it would be me lol.

I have extremely dry skin. This is such a helpful advice for me! I was wondering, where can I get tattoo goo? Grocery stores, drugstores, crafts stores, where? :)

@Bri-Bri you buy tattoo too at tattoo shops.
@Amanda thank you for the advice, I'm definitely going to try the apple-cider vinegar & tattoo goo idea. my skin is so dry sometimes, it just ruins my face & makeup :s I HATE it, lol. so thank you so much.

I'm not really sure...try a drug store or some of your local tattoo shops may even sell it...certainly not a craft store though lol. If anything you can just Google tattoo goo and order it off amazon or directly from their website. I would recommend Amazon though...they are usually cheaper and do free shipping.

Awesome advise, I have some and never once thought to try it on my face lol.

Tbh I would say order it online- tattoo shops usually over charge you for that kinda stuff. :)
