I'm continuously hearing person rave about this eye shadow primer, and wanted to know does it really work or live up to the hype? What are some of your favourite primers?

the original primer is the best. it works. but the other 2 are greasy and don't really work for me. I use the primer potion on myself and my friends that ask me to help them with makeup. (: no matter how much you sweat or rub your eye it's still gonna be there.

I completely agree with shannon..the original primer potion is amazing! Also some of my other favs are the bare minerals eyeshadow primers becasue they can stand alone like the other two in urban decay but aren't as greasy.

I was disappointed with it, and returned it straightaway to go back to the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. My friend actually reported MORE creasing with UDPP than with nothing at all, which was pretty similar to my experience. Some people like it, though I'm not sure how many of the people who like it have tried anything else.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll try the UDPP, TFSI and the BMEP and see how it goes....I have oily skin so hopefully they work

Urban decay primer potion is the best. I have so many other primers including the smash box photo ready an Mac makeup base but te UDPP is the best. However if you use too much your eye lids will become greasy and your eyeshadow will crease! Hope this helped(:

I just bought UDPP a couple months ago and I am super impressed with it! I was using an e.l.f. eyeshadow primer before and thought it worked well until I tried UDPP. E.l.f. made my shadow stay longer than no primer at all. UDPP makes your colors more vibrant in my opinion as well as making your shadow last LOTS longer. I have even fallen asleep in my eye make-up (I know, I know) and had it look JUST as good in the morning!

Make sure you don't use to much of it or you will see a crease. Spread a small, thin, even amount on. If you over load it, it will crease and feel and look greasy. I worked the Impulse counter at Macy's and got to try several and it's still my go to favorite.

A good primer for neutrals would be ELF's Eye Primer in Sheer - it does help smooth over your lid and helps with the wear time. But my all time favorite would be Too Faced Shadow Insurance. UDPP was meh for me - it was thick, it didn't help with blending or locking down color. TFSI though, hit all the right check points, and it comes in a squeezy tube.

UDPP is pretty good, if you have oily skin you should apply a little amount. It's important not to apply TOO much because it will crease. My all time favorite is Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
