So I'm very very pale and I've never found a foundation which doesn't make me look like a complete orange. I did look at the Dainty Doll collection but it seems to have been discontinued. Also I'm on a student budget so products such as Mac and their prices give me a heart attack.
I've went to several stylist booths and asked them, but obviously they try to sell their product and tell me it's my colour when even when they hand me the mirror I'm like "are you serious?".
Does anyone know of any fairly priced brands that do foundations in more paler colours? It would be a massive help!

I suggest trying your luck using the foundation matrix at temptilia, here's a link: http://www.temptalia.com/foundation-matrix it has helped me sooo much in finding the right shades! you fill in your udertone and then skin tone and it comes up with a HUGE list of almot any brand you can think of with a few color options (for each brand) that should be in your color range. I usually sample all that are suggested and I have always found a perfect match from their suggestions.
I never thought that I was terribly fair, but I do find a lot of brands look super orange and dark on me, so I've had to find some brands that have much lighter options in a variety of undertones. right now, I use kat von d lock it foundation, but that can be quite expensive (it does last a long time though! lots of product for your money). I have also had luck color matching with maybelline fit me and revlon colorstay as far as drug store brands go. The three choices I mentioned also have even lighter colors than I bought, so you should probably be able to find a light enough match!
by the way I love your name, my middle name's louise ;)

Revelon colorstay is my holy grail foundation. Although, it dries fast when applying and gets cakey really fast.
