Ceramic heats the hair from within so its more effective and gives hair a smooth shiny appearance. the ions are supposed to give hair more volume but I havent noticed a dramatic difference myself. if you want volume, blow dry your hair upside down and use a large round brush to finish drying it.. that gives you volume. also, ceramic can damage your hair easier so be careful not to direct too much heat and use a heat protector!

Another tip, I too have fine hair that tends to get fairly limp, use a volumizing mousse before you blow dry and get a haircut aimed at pumping up volume. thats what layers are for. it makes hair lighter therefore it can be boosted up. clay powders are great for added volume too. just grab a section on the crown, pull it forward and sprinkle it on the part. then you take your fingers and kinda mash it into your scalp. I don't know why it works but it does!

Thanks Audra for very usefull tips. fine hair sucks. I've been trying to find easier way to get volume with no effort (I should say less effort)

After having my son, the long hair had to go or else he was going to end up yanking it out of my head so I gave myself a short a-line bob with stacked layers in the back. I now have tons of volume. I'm not sure how long your hair is but have you thought about trying a new cut? Oh and pantene volumizing shampoo and conditioner surprisingly works very well fyi.

I have medium lenght of hair just over shoulders. short hair doesn't really suit me I tried it once real short one. every 2 months I get haircut with layers and all. Audra you're right. I find bit easier just after cut to get volume. I could get bit shorter than I usually get. my classic tecnique is sleeping when hair damp :-) most of the times it workes. bit messy which I like. sometimes I get plat hair in the back or sides :))
do you know any other than pantene volumizing? it used to works very well. I don't no why I got dandruff. after changing shampoo its ok. funny like an allergy.

Pantene is known for using wax in there shampoos. thats why your hair feels so soft, its coated in wax! lol you may just need to clarify your hair. too much product buildup over time can cause dandruff. do a final rinse with some apple cider vinegar when you shower and that will cure the dandruff and clarify your hair. I'm a big fan of biolage shampoos but they are so expensive. I'm kinda on the hunt for a good shampoo line, and have been searching for a while. no luck yet.
