I don't no much about hair chalk And I haven't really used it. My questions are what kind of chalk is best for dark hair and is there a kind that won't get on your clothes?

All chalk will get on clothes. It's just the nature of the substance. Hair chalk is the same as chalk pastels. Artist's Loft has a pack of chalk pastels for $5 and I find they work better than hair chalk for dark hair (sold at Michaels) Hope this helps :)
