I have very dry skin. Parts of my face have very very dry spots. No matter how mush I scrub/wash the dry spots continue to flake. HELP!

Oh my.. You should totally go for a skin check up. Sometimes it's the product that you are currently using

I've had this problem recently, even after exfoliating, the dry parts still feel a little rough and flakey. I've been spraying the Laura mercier perfecting water moisture mist on my face. Then using a face moisturizer for dry skin on the flaky parts. CeraVe moisturizers could work. Also, it could be your cleanser that's drying you out. You could try switching to a gentle formula.

I generally don't use a cleanser. Just water since products I have used in the past havent worked.

Clinique's Dramatically Different moisturizer is a godsend. my skin was beyond dry & nothing I did worked until I started using this stuff. it's kinda pricey, but SO worth it!

Some products that I've found that work for me & my battle with dry skin are:
-bio oil- love this stuff! So many uses for it & it works so well (I apply a thick layer at night- wake up to soft beautiful skin- but you have to use this everyday until your skin seems healed and then once or twice a week/or as needed- & this is the only oil I've ever found that won't stain your clothes/pillowcases or sheets either), pure white Vaseline on the really dry spots really helps, Eucerin original moisturizing creme- but this is a super thick creme so I wouldn't recommend using it during the day, and exfoliating only once a day (too much isn't good) I like, St. Ives facial green tea exfoliating scrub before applying my makeup works really well for me to help it not look so flakey (and make sure you rinse with cold water to close your pores), start drinking more water- our skin is 80% water so a gallon a day is what is recommended but I know how hard that is to do!, also I've found that Monistats chafing relief powder gel is a great primer before foundation & moisturizes skin a lot putting a barrier between your skin and the chemicals from cosmetics! If none of that works, see a dermatologist, or adjust your diet (stay away from sodium and processed foods can dehydrate you& your skin), and/or products you use on your face. Oil is much better than lotion or any kind of creme I've ever use, and try a moisturizing foundation/makeup instead! I really like Maybeline's dream smooth mousse for dry skin, revlon's colorstay for dry skin, and loreal's true match lumi foundation- are all affordable foundations that seem to work fairly well for dry skin, but mac has some really great foundations if you can afford it I'd reccomend going to a mac counter first!! they also have great skin care products! I also use a rosewater &aloe facial spray by Mario Badescu (was $8 at ulta) for whenever my makeup seems dry this rejuvenates it instantly! - as well as sets my makeup,& cools & soothes any irritations or sunburns. It can also be used like macs fix plus spray to spray on makeup brushes first or make liquid liners or shadows from powder. Love that stuff!
I've had really dry skin during my pregnancy and now six months later its just starting to get better... So I understand how hard it is! Sorry this was so long but good luck to you! 💋
