What does it mean to get your eyebrows threaded? what so they do to them?
Oct 29, 2013
Amber K.
They use actual thread and use the thread to remove the unwanted hair...it's way better than waxing.

They take a thread and twist it and run it quickly on your skin and it quickly just plucks the hairs! I get mine done and love it! Doesn't hurt!

They use the thread to pluck the hairs. I do it and love the results more than waxing. It usually costs the same or a little less than waxing.

OK I'm nervous they will make my eyebrows uneven- that happened to me getting them waxed before. is there anynthing I should tell them?
Oct 29, 2013
Vanessa O.
No they are very precise and do it in smaller sections and I have uneven brows and they fixed them without making them thin.:)

Definitely recommend it! Makes your brows look perfect! It's fast and cheap and last a good amount of time depending on how fast your hair grows back! I'm past due for a session, only because I accidentally over plucked my eyebrows but I pay $5!

Threadin your eyebrws n upper lips is very common in india...and I think you can get a very precise shape with it..they would twist the thread on their fingers n stretch your skin near d brows a little so tht
it doesn't pain n they can cut nicely..

These women know what they are doing! I tried it a long time ago and have never looked back. I didnt know my eyebrows could look so good! Its not hard to do yourself either. I'm getting pretty good at it but nowhere near the skill level of the ladies that work at the mall. you may feel a little tender after and you will be red for a few hours. threading is basically the tweezing of multiple hairs at the same time. you make a loop out of thread, start in a cats cradle position and rotate one hand like 10 times. you control the thrread by opening and closing one hand at a time and the thread grabs the hairs and pulls them out. check out some youtube videos on it.

Are any of you ladies from la? I wanna thread mine but don't know where to go just moved here and have no clue.

I would try the mall. they sometimes have kiosks in them. thats how I discovered it. or you could just keep a look out for someone with perfect eyebrows and chances are they get them threaded!

All I can say is be very specific on the shape and how you want them to look. The ppl that have had bad experiences comes from having them over threaded and the shape gets ruined. If you notice a lot of the times ppl just tend to sit in the chair without saying what they want. Yes I'm speaking from experience. My arch got ruined she took way too much off and theyve never been the same.

I thread my eyebrows myself. It's really simple and it's soooo much faster than plucking with tweezers! And it gets the tiny hairs out as well which I loveeee!

As a cosmetologist and a Threading Artist I may be biased but threading is way better than anyother hair removal service! Its much more controled than wax and shaping is much better. How satisfied you are greatly depends on how well educated your threader is- just bc they know how to pull hair out doesn't mean they know how to shape so take any negative comments with a huge grain of salt.
