I take 5000 a day, pretty sure that's the highest recommended dosage. Good luck!!

Check with a doctor. It's not even approved by the FDA and to top it off you get it from the food you eat. I'm in the process of growing out my hair ( check out my profile pictures to see my progress ) and its grown so much without biotin. It's only meant for those with biotin deficiency or related illness.

I took biotin once! Just once!! & I got extremely sick. So you should really check with your doctor. Seriously I was extremely ill no joke.

Tori everyone I've talked to said it made their skin clearer. it doesn't do much for my skin but it definitely helps my hair out. I think 5000 is good.

Considering it won't do anything to make your hair grow no matter how much you take, you're not only wasting your time and money but if you are taking more than what is recomended without consulting a doctor you could be harming yourself. The stuff people will believe and do just to try to make their hair grow. >.>;
