I honestly have never heard about them prior to the recent editorial about lip care. Is there a specific reason to use them over simply running a warm, moist towel over your lips? I usually use that method and then use a moisturizer afterwards [which works great and doesn't cost anything] so I was wondering if using a lip exfoliator might be better. Thanks!

I make my own scrub, use that, then use a work towel. I have very dry lips though. I say if the warm towel works then go for it. if you need more of an exfoliant then I would just make a scrub of honey and brown sugar.

Vaseline and a soft toothbrush works well also!

It works really well when you have dry lips to help rub off the dead skin

Mix lemon sugar or olive oil...they are great exfoliaters and moisturise the lips perfectly...apply the mix for atleast 10 min and wash it off...finally put on some lip balm!!
