Best treatment on acne prone skin?

How old are you? you'll probably hate my answer lol. but I say just wait. I used to have acne when I was around 13-16 years old. it was awful. I was always trying all these products but nothing worked for me. I just washed my face eveyday and it all went away with the time. Alot of times it has to do with your age. I know it's a pain but now I have clear skin! Thats just my experience though. I hope you find something that helps! (:

I started taking birth control for my acne and it got loads better. I don't know if you're parents will let you but if they will you should look into it.

Doctors can prescribe an antibiotic for acne. They usually give you that before they put you on birth control. Retin A is wonderful, but please remember to wear moisturizer on top of the treatment, and if you have sensitive skin wear sunscreen in the daytime. Retin A can dry out your skin and make it more sensitive to the sun, because it is a chemical exfoliator. Again, because its a chemical exfoliator, so you should lay off the scrubs, and facial brushes once you begin using Retin A. If you over exfoliate, your skin will become irritated, burning, red and dry.

Birth control is not the answer there are more capsules they can recommend just go to your doctors I know it can be horrible but it will go!

I wouldn't ever take pills for it, they can have some horrible side effects. Most of the side effects are much worse than acne. I would avoid it as much as possible. I did notice when I started birth control that my skin was clearer but if you're younger that's probably not the best solution. I'd suggest if it's really bad and normal store bought skin routine products don't help at all, go to a dermatologist and they may prescribe or suggest certain products that will help with your type of acne on your type of skin. Other than that, it'll get better as you get older. I know even in the past 2 years my skin has gotten much much clearer as I used to have horrible skin. Just have a daily skin routine with products for your skin type and eventually it should clear up. :)

Honestly, I love love love my Retin A!
Then again I have oily & acne prone skin that's not sensitive.
You should definitely look into it, it won't disappear over night, but you'll see a difference within 5-7 days. :)

There isn't one miracle cure. It's about finding products that reduce acne and makeup that doesn't irritate. Then using those products religiously.

If it's your hormones then pills or meds are probably the only thing that will make a big difference. If it's teenage skin then adjust your dory, drink water, don't over exfoliate and get a topical treatment for your pimples :)

Anne H. Even in winter time sunscreen is still necessary. The sun doesn't go away in winter time it's still here, it's just colder. I would suggest using a sunscreen. Sun is a big cause of premature aging.

I agree with Lindsey about the clarisonic. If its fresh acne try an enzyme mask or light chemical exfoliant. If that doesn't help visit a spa or dermatologist.
