Neutrogena Skin Products.

I have normal skin. I never breakout. I use Cetaphil which is awesome for me cause it maintains my skin from breaking out. I ran out so when at the skin product aisle I decided to try the Neutrogena fancy face scrub. It comes with pads with the soap on them. Within 3 days I get 2 huge red noticeable zits on my cheek. I was on my period as well but let me tell you, I don't break out that bad either when that time of the month comes. So do you think Neutrogena caused me to break out like that?

I would continue to use it for a week or so and see how it does. Neutrogena is usually very good for your skin but everybody is different. Your skin might have become accustomed to your cetaphil so it broke out due to the change in your skin care routine!

Neauteogena is not as strong as cetaphil and they have different ingredients. It could have been an allergic reaction or it could be your skin being used to the acne fighting power of the cetaphil and breaking out. And because you were on your period your skin may have reacted differently to the product. I know sometimes When I try any new face products or even lotion or soaps in the shower while I'm on my period I break out in hives and get pimples. But when I try the same product a week later it's fine and I have no reaction. I don't think it was the Neauteogena product alone, unless you are sensitive to an ingredient in it. If you want to, try it again for a few days while you're not on your period and see if it breaks you out. But even if it does, not all Neauteogena products are the same. I used to use the morning face scrub in orange burst, but when I went to buy more they were sold out so I bought the grapefruit scented one of the same product, it broke me out.
