Hi guys, I'm new to beautylish but was wondering if yous could help. I washed my fave with a new facewash from nuxe and my face has went insane, its bright red and covered in small bumps and really dry and itchy, also feels so rough. Has anybody got any tips to help calm it down and help it? Thanks.

I've had this happen to me as well and it burned so much. So to help with the burning I put an ice cold rag on my face for awhile then used Cera Vea [ I think that's how its spelled] face moisturizer. Its a bit expensive but a little bit goes a long way and even the small bottle lasts a long time!

If it's like a burn buy from drugstore a cream with panthenol it helps healing.

I'm not sure about this but my first reaction is GO TO THE DOCTOR!! Lol good luck x

I have uber sensitive skin and experience this all the time. mix equal amounts of olive oil and distilled vinegar and slowly dab it on the affected area with cotton. The oil reduces the redness and inflamation and the vinegar calms the itching and stinging sensation :) I hope this helps and good luck.

Anupa, putting vinegar can be risky because it depends on the type of burn if it's an acid one you shout put alkali like backing soda and the opposite. But you are totally right about oil:-)

I understand that vinegar can be risky :) Rach's description of her reaction didn't sound consistent with chemical burns and read more like a mild skin reaction! It was described very much like what I go through when my skin reacts to something. I wouldn't have suggested vinegar if her reaction sounded like a chemical burn. Thank you for your concern though! :)

Yes, Anupa, just thought that if the products she used is harsh it may be a burn, just don't know the brand she used.
