Everyone talks about dupes.. I'm tired of dupes. I feel like I'm becoming lost in colors that all fade into one shade from.various brands. (of course I'm exaggerating a bit). ;-) but seriously..what low end (or high end for that matter) shades do you feel are in a league of their own?? nothing compares. tell me about that shade that doesn't have a dupe..
I'm a color girl so feeling like everything is looking similar is driving me cray.lol. ;-) thanks for your input.

Well here in argentina it seems all the brands have the same colors we only have maybelline, revlon , rimmel and loreal and the ones that offer unique colors are so expensive so I prefer to buy nyx or wet n wild or sleek although it's not cheap but colors are so much better and nicer!

I understand your frustration Naomi. I'm seeing it with eyeshadows. I love a complex and unique shade. From being a lipstick fiend I'm starting to feel the lack of unique colors that don't scream "I have to dupe girl!" Have you thought about investing in a few OCC liptars and mixing a few shades to get something different? Or check out Three Custom Cosmetics. With them you can send them a color sample of what you want right down if you want it in a matte,satin,frost,cream. And they will duplicate it for you. Its kinda pricey...$30 I believe for a custom shade but they keep the details on file and if you need another tube you send them your deets and viola...you are sent another replacement. A long time ago I used them to make a copy of a discontinued lipstick. It was originally a cream formula but I had it also made in a lip glaze as well.

Thanks for the comments ladies!..
@ aleighnna, I assume your friend has a website? I can google poprox?. I'd like to check those out..
@Gen, I'm really thinkn of investing n a nars blush pallet this holiday season.. I think you're right that they stand on their own..
@dani, I also feel like the unique shades are a lot more expensive even here n the states.
@Shelley. ok I won't scream. ;-)
I have thought of getting lip Tara n mixing them, they have 4 packs for $49 @ sephora and I think.that's really reasonable. just one of those things where I can only buy so much n it gets pushed to the side. so I've been mixing or laying the lipsticks n lipgloss (and liner) I have. that's been going ok. I have soooo much makeup for the lik space avail to me that I really want to use down some of this stuff.. but still like to have a wishlist n buy unique things here n there. I am also going to take note of that website. I'd loveeeee some custom shades.

They are pretty cool. Even if you mix up an awesome shade with those lip tars you can send in a small sample of it to them and they can produce a lipstick using the color as a guide. I feel ya about wanting to use up current product and having space for it all. I try my best to shop my stash...its so hard because I get exposed to so much new stuff from hubs and just being in places I have no place being in.lol.

Yeah, you definitely get exposed to a lot of products..
I'm trying to widen my spectrum all while keepi.v within a budget. so its cool to get something then make it useful with stuff I have.
I'll prob start making custom colors more with the lipstick I have n pill container. make some "pallets". ;-)
and I definitely feel you on being places I have no business. same here!. lol
