I've wanted to try red lipstick but dunt know how to know which one is better. I heard the best way to check is to see the colour of your veins and see wht undertone you are for the best colour. But how?

If your veins are more blue- you're cool toned. If they're more green- you're warm. If their in between or neither blue nor green you're probably neutral :)

I think red is a color worth investing in, in other words go get a higher end brand. M.A.C has a lot of great reds, Ruby Woo is a great one to try or Russian Red. Ask for help at the store/counter. NARS is another to try.

Does gold or silver jewelry look best on you? If silver your cool toned, so go for a blue red, if gold looks best you're warm and an orange based red would look best on you.

I don't agree with the rules myself. I have definite blue undertones and cool reds look bright pink on my lips. This is a situation where you must try it on. Red lipstick is on my splurge list because cheap red is not a good look.
