Maybe just apply your mascara carelessly? Get a thick mascara or a few different ones and apply them all together and there you go :)

Okay so first you start off with a fine coat as a base then LET IT DRY!! After it's dried keep adding coats moving the brush side to side (like rubbing it against your lashes sideways) and then after your happy with the thickness, get your brush and get mascara on it then, gently flick the ends of the lashes (not the whole lash, just the end) hope this helps! :) xx

Apply a coat of mascara, get some baby powder on a small flat brush like an eyeliner brush and dab some on the lashes. Go back in with your mascara and you'll see an AMAZING result. :)

And I do those exact indentations between lashes by simply using the tip of my mascara brush vertically as I stroke down for the bottom lashes abd repeat the same type of stroke, but stroke up vertically for the top lashes. :3.

I use TweezerMan eyelash comb to brush through my lashes during each coat.
