Depends on how much you will charge. And if you charge alot, you have to be GOOD. Meaning: College degree, many years of experience, knowledge of products & peoples preference.

Don't get into it for the money, do it for the love of all things makeup.
It's not the easiest industry to break into and become extremely successful, but if you're dedicated its definitely possible x

It also depends on where you're from, like are you from a big city or a small town. I notice that MUAs based in city areas has a higher priced range than those in small towns. Also consider your target customers. Are you aiming for those high profile exclusive group, the medium range or those on a budget?
Hope that helps! :-)

I searched this website http://www.styleseat.com. You can figure out prices from MUA in different cities. Try getting a job at a counter in a department store, doesn't have to be MAC but you can gain good experience.

Someone can charge $1000 a day and that still wouldnt tell you how much they make, because what if they only book 1 job a month? I know many makeup artists who only get a job every few months. The more important thing to wonder about is how often you can book. I will give you an average of what I make. I book 2-3 weddings per weekend and make between $200-$600 per wedding.
