I have really sensitive skin. Almost all acne face washes/products give me a rash and break me out worse than before. Even some regular lotion on my arms can give me a rash sometimes too. So I use the Simple Skincare products because they're great for my sensitive skin and leave it feeling clean and fresh.

I break out every now and then and will typically use a spot treatment and moisturize with lotion for sensitive skin and problem solved.

Honestly I think it depends on your skin type. My skin is relatively normal, but I almost never break out unless it's that type of the month or I use a product my skin doesn't like. But honestly, I don't have a set routine. I remove my makeup with coconut oil and a warm wash cloth, wash my face in the morning with warm water and apply lotion or moisturizer (what ever I have that's not Bath and Body Works). When I start to get acne I wash my face with African black soap before bed and it's either bye bye in the morning or the next day.
I only put tinted moisturizer on my face opposed to liquid foundation as it's lighter and let's my skin breathe.

In the morning I use either african black soap or origins zero oil cleanser, I then moisturize with korres pomegranate balancing cream or a mattifying one from murad, depending on my day. At night I remove my makeup with wipes from burts bees and I cleanse with either one of the 2 from my morning routine, then I'll apply korres wild rose brightening sleeping facial. 3 nights out of the week I do some type of at home face mask.
cleansing and moisturizing is the 2 key things to having healthy skin. Also finding products suited to your skin type is so important.

I alternate between neutrogena grapefruit acne face wash and bliss fabulous foaming face wash, I follow with Clinique's clarifying lotion #2 and Clinique's redness solutions moisturizer. Hope this helps :). My skin is dry/ combo but more on the dry side with the colder weather. I get maybe one breakout per month around my cycle.

Oh and twice a week I use 7 day scrub from Clinique.

I use Cliniques 3 anti blemish system. I rarely got spots anyway but I used to get red cheeks, nose and chin. My skin is a lot more even toned now :) I'm 21 and it's the best stuff I've found. I want to invest in a colour correcting eye cream next which will hopefully help my dark circles and ward off wrinkles for a little longer xx

I started using Fresh Farmacy from LUSH which has seriously improved my skin, over that I use Clean&Clear Spot treatment and neutrogena combo moisturizer.
Every once in a while I'll use Biore gentle exfoliating wash.
It does depend on your skin, but I find that LUSH soap works for most skin types, I've been recommending it to all of my friends and it's fixed us up well.
My skin is acne prone and sometimes sensitive, oily in the tzone and dry on my cheeks.
