Hey girls!!
I wanted to tell you that the other day I saw a Revlon advert on a magazine and the model had lipstick over her lips!! Obviously this shows how photos are excesive re touched so that made me realise how different brands can make you believe things about colors or effects, etc.
I think we should pay more attention to this because brands usually take advantage of our ¨need¨ of make us more beautiful but in my opinion we should be critical when we shop and see more reviews here or the internet, swatches, etc.because adverts are so deceitful!!
What do you guys think?
Sorry if I don´t write well this is not my language!! lol
Have a great weekend!!

I think they put lipstick over the model lips to make their lips appear fuller

I pay no attention to pictorial ads as they represents false advertising with all Photoshopping in the pics. My bottom line is wanting to know if its going to perform so I research the ingredients list and reviews to make my decision. I'm even suspicious of magazine editorials...I seriously believe they receive money for giving glowing reviews of products.

I don't go for advertising. Everybody knows its greatly retouched. If I'm curious about the product, I'm doing my research to read reviews and go myself and try it. There is no reason to buy a product just because its a rave or a hype even if it doesn't suit you. I learned from my mistakes and ended up just giving it away.

I suppose I notice advertisements to some degree as a form of an announcement for a new product or line of colors or products but as for how well those products will look, make me look, or work- no. There's a great little video circulating Facebook illustrating how much photoshopping goes into a commercial image. It features a model posed on her stomach with her legs bent at the knees, in a bikini. Everything about her is photoshopped, the length of her legs, her makeup, her skin tone etc.
Even here a lot of the images in the photo gallery are photoshopped.
