I bought the wrong hair dye & didnt notice until after I used it..My hair is platnuim like I wanted it, But my roots are orange!! So I bought Brass Banisher & my roots are a nasty yellow. I use shimmering lights shampoo & cond, but it didnt do much. I read online to use chamomile tea or lemon juice to reduce that brassy color. I havent done it yet bc I was wondering if anyone else has tried it and what the results where. I dont have money to go to a salon & i was going to buy a toner but I dont get paid till next wensday, So I need a quick fix. Thanks ladies :) xoxo

maybe try one of those lilac toned shampoos for old ladies grey hair? a hairdresser once told me that reduces brassiness because it's on the opposite end of the colour wheel.
another one i've heard is tomato ketchup but i think that's more for green tinged hair. good luck!

Lemon juice should be fine as long as you condition your hair afterwards. You need to put lemon juice on and lay out in the sun. It's effective if it gets enough sun on it but if you don't have the time then it probably won't work very well. John Frieda blonde go blonder works super well super fast.

Since your hair is platinum blonde, I don't think lemon juice will do much for you. Here's why: lemon juice is a natural lightner. When hair is bleached it strips the color out and leaves the cuticle open. If you can't afford to get a professional fix, I would get a 10$ box of a nutrient rich dye that is close to your natural color, and try again in a month. Since lemon juice lightens the natural tone only as far as it can, and your natural pigments are gone, I dont think it will work. I haven't heard of chamomile being a lightner, but it isn't as abrasive as lemon juice and so it's definitely worth a try. Good luck!
