My fiancé is coming home from Afghanistan soon and I want to surprise him. I already have Auburn ish red hair and I want to surprise him and go RED, like actual Red but I really don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg but I want it to last. Even if Its from a box or anything because I dont have time to go to a salon, I work way too much....any suggestions??!

Go to a beauty supply store and get Loreal High Color. They make regular natual, but intense reds. Also they make Highlights, which are really unnatural reds (like mine!). If you aren't up for mixing your own and want something in a box, go clairol. Feria will be tempting, because they make good reds, but they fade fast. Feria is garbage, trust me.
Red hair is awesome! Rock it!!!

Sally Beauty Supply store has good colors and swatches to look at your end result. My current color is Dark Red Blonde and I love it but if you're wanting a more intense red you can find it there for sure.
