Anyone use a hot comb?

I have a hot comb those ones that have the gold colored comb , I don't know if that is brass?

But does anyone use them and how because when I used it it didnt get it bone straight

I haven't had a hot comb on my head since I was 10 and my great grandma and mom did my hair.

Is it one you plug up or put on the stove and have heat up that way?

The only reason I am is because I got my hair done and she told me to straighten it during winter and she used a hot comb which got my hair veryyy straight it was beautiful.

Its a plug in one and the comb part is gold.

My mom is a cosmetologist. She used a hot Comb on me when I was natural. You can do two options:
1. Buy a good flat iron
2. Buy a feather flat (YouTube it. Works just like a hot comb)

Does it have a temperature dial? it could be because it's not hot enough. to test to see if it's too hot, lay it on a paper towel.. if it turns brown it's too hot. you could also use an edge straightener comb and just flat iron the rest of your hair
