Yes Sam...you are right milk of magnesia totally throws off your skins Ph level making it a play ground for germs and bacteria. I don't have any links off hand but you can Google it and learn about it more in depth.

Milk of magnesia is quite a bit more alkaline than skin so be careful. the surface of your skin is slightly acidic for a reason. the acidity keeps bacteria at bay. I'm sure using milk of magnesia a few times a week is fine, but if you notice acne that's out of the ordinary, cut down on use.
