So I used to have a cheap crappy straightner and that was problem EVERYDAY. so after making a long decision I bought a chi and its helped ever since. yes their exoensive, and yes their LIFE SAVERS at least for me. they don't do as much damage o your hair because of the plates or whatever. now I have meduim short thick ass hair, and I don't know your hair type but it did help me. if your interested in one tj maxx sells them cheapest for all ik around 50-90$

Yeah, upgrade your straightener, I recommend a karmin g3. Also, argan oil by pro naturals after straightening helps keep your hair smooth for longer.
