I need some serious help! please!
Okay, so I have just ended being a blonde. I am naturally dark brown headed. So to achieve blonde I bleached my hair like 4 times in one sitting and once after that time. Well, my hair became unrepairable. It felt like elastic, grew 3 times its size and became completely unmanageable. Well I stayed blonde for 3 or so months. Well I just recently decided to color my hair a new color. I wanted it to be like a dark brown/purple/burgundy color. Well I dyed my hair with a dye box from wal mart, the loreal feria brand, which I usually love. It was called dark burgundy. Well it came out like deep red. It was pretty but not for me. After just one wash it completely faded. It looks as if I have had this same dye in for a month. Its like this bright and dark red with orange tints. Anyways, it looks horrible and makes me feel unhappy with my appearance. I need to fix it immediately. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to achieve the burgundy hair. Should I just dye it with purple now? Or what color/dye should I use? Any help would be great. Thank you! (:

The reason it faded so quick was
1. Because since it's damaged so much the cuticle to your hair is permanently opened (where the bleach was) until you cut it off, therefore the cuticle can't hold the color so it just washes out.
2. It's not a professional color, I've used those before and they fade so fast anyway.
Even with a professional color you'll probably still end up with fast fading hair but it should last longer. I recommend a cream color instead of a gel, They're a lot richer in color.
I recommend getting protein treatment. All salons and even hair schools should have them and you need a good one. Get a protein pack or preferably redken has what at called shots that work wonders but are only available to professionals. Be sure to do it before the color and not after or else it''ll push the color out. The point is to try and fill that cuticle as much as possible and then color is after and since your hair is so damaged I would recommend going a more natural color just until it grows out since it'll just keep. fading.
Or if you can't afford to go to a professional, I know sally's has tinted protein fillers for color that might help you out a bit. You just simply add it into the color formula.

Hope that helps! :)
