Horrible at DIY but need a costume.

So I hate doing DIY things but for this Halloween I want to be something that they don't sell, I wanted to be a character from the Percy Jackson series, either a girl version of Percy or Annabeth, but I don't know how to make that work. I would need a shirt and a replica weapon. I just need ideas and help with my first DIY, please and thank you.

Well the new seas of monsters movie I wath this summer had her in super casual clothes... Well she wore a leagher jacket, loose vneck, straight jeans, and some boots!! Her hair was in a fishtail braid and her makeup was like top eyeliner no wing and mascara! (foundtion and some blush (really light))

Actually the movie doesn't follow the book clothes wise, I was thinking jeans, converse, and a orange camp halfblood shirt (that's what I need to make) and I was thinking of a place where I could get something similar to riptide or Annabeths dagger. I'm basing it more of the book than movie. But thank you.
