Hand for beginners. I use my hands and I'm a pro at them now (used to wear them every day for a year) It gives me more control. But it's preference I guess.

I agree with symone, hands are easier by far! I can't even use those applicators that come with the kits. I discovered a little tip to applying them perfectly every time. Apply the glue directly to your lash line, not the fake lashes. wait about 30 seconds then after you have measured out the lashes beforehand and bend the lashes a bit to help with flexibility, you just set them on and apply some light pressure! I personally can't get them on by hand. I think tweezers work best, but it is definitely whatever you prefer. I pretty much always have had long nails so maybe thats why I can't ever get the eyelashes on with my hand, lol :)

You could also apply the glue above your lash line and not on actual false lashes. That way if you make a mistake you haven't got glue all over your eyelid x
