Does washing your face with milk help?

I've used evaporated milk soaked up with a cotton ball rub on the dry spots for 5 min and wash off with a wash cloth and warm water and that takes the dryness away.I learned about that in the 90's when super model,Cindy Crawford and Todd Oldham had a beauty show on MTV.
