It's to add more of a tanned effect on your face and more of a "bronze" look lol my sister puts it all over her face but I don't recommend that you may turn umpa lumpa so stick to the cheeks or if you really want to put it all over lightly dust it :)

to apply, I usually use a large fluffy powder brush. blow the brush a little to remove excess, then lightly dust it all over my face, neck, & ears. I find I look too pale with just my foundation & powder. it's a very natural looking bronzer so it works perfect!

It's to basically add a warm glow, most women confuse it for contouring... it's used after contouring however - shadows are not orange like Mairead said. They should be ashy grey toned.

It depends on the colour of the bronzer
I use my fleshy brown one to contour my face (cheek bones and forehead) but would never use an orange brown shimmery one to do that, those just look tacky.
