You have the same problem I did! I had very dark hair like you but, I put in caramel and blonde highlights, layers, and side bangs. Here's my hair now

For me, you should have your roots in the middle, cut your hair just a bit to refresh and make it stronger and then I would say curly hair would fit you better and give you some more volume! Don't play with colors like red, they're very strong and if you regret it and want to change it, it'll be hard to wipe off. You're beautiful that way, with your brown hair, but if you want a change colorwise, go for a lighter shade of brown-honey blonde on highlights.

Thanks so much Stephanie I think I'm going to try that! Only problem is I'm a swimmer so it's hard to always curl my hair.
