My hair is about 20 inches past shoulders and I,m not a fan of hairsprays, gels and heat tools. Some style I prefere->
1. straight hair. just wash hair and then using a blower dry it in diferent directions for more volume about 10 minutes. then comb, and using a big round brush, beginning with the top blow by 1-2 cm sections. Finish with a cold jet.
2. when I,m super lazy, after washing hair when it,s still a lul humid I part it in 4 sections and braid each. In the morning I wakeup with a lot of cute curls
3. ponytail, but cover the rubber band with a section of hair and secure with bobbi pins
4. sock/donut bun - with hidden ends, or twisted around, or brided around
5. messy buns( make a pony anywhere, part into 2 sections, tease each, twist, make a bun, secure)
6. buns from braids
I advice you to look on youtube for lilith moon and luxyhair. They have amazing tutorials:-)
