Put 2 or 3 corresponding colors ( dark blue, light blue and white) on a sponge and dub it in your nail.

^^ what she said! it works nicely. then dip a cotton swab in some polish remover to clean up the edges.

Also sally Hansen has a kit of colors that go together in a ombre set. I saw mine at target. :)
