It all depends on the thickness you want. I regularly use maybelline ultra liner in black and it stays all day. the good thing about this one is that the brush is short and makes less room for error. I wear mine pretty thick, but honestly its just about the angles and the fill in. If you're a bit timid, try it with a pencil, then go over it in a liquid. That's pretty much the most fool proof way to get it right. I start in the inner corner and go to the edge of my eye in one motion, then draw the wing in an angle toward the tip of my brow, then fill in the angle to the thickness I want. good luck!
