I don't know how big is your problem, but, I've some clog pores and the only thing that works for me is the green clay mask. it is a strong deep pore cleansing and tightens skin💛

Unfortunately large pores don't open and shut like a door. So there is no shrinking them so to speak. To give the appearance of tightened pores is merely a process of purging them of congestion because that is what's giving you the appearance of large pores. I have large pores myself in my t-zone and I big time user of masks, glycolic serum and enzyme peels to keep my pores from looking like craters. The Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay mask that Lia mentions is awesome. I use it myself once a month (though lately its been getting used every other month) mixed with organic apple cider vinegar this stuff will clean out your pores big time. After a removal a non-active moisturizer must be applied because the mask does suck out moisture too. That mask is great place to start though. Another thing...do not use harsh granular facial scrubs (like St. Ives Apricot scrub) because it creates micro scarring of the skin. Enzyme peels are much gentler to use and you don't have to deal with the mess left behind like a granular. AmorePacific has an enzyme peel that I personally use myself and love. There is also one you can find via Amazon...I can't renember the name but its a pineapple based enzyme peel in powder form (water activated) and its much more affordable at around $17-18 bucks. If you type in pineapple enyzme peel on the site it should pop up for you.

Ty so much for responding to me Lia! I'm not sure why but nobody ever talks to me on here like some of the other ladies?! Hurts my feelings really! So ty<3 You had asked how big my problem is..well, my pores aren't clogged. I keep my face very clean & well moisturised. It is hereditary. Both my mother, her sister & mother have/had them. Plus I'm 40. They're so large that using primer, heavy concealer & full coverage foundation..stippling it in, still they're visible!! I need to know a good pore (filler) & a good coverage foundation that will help even my skin appearance. Again, ty for your help!

Ty SO much Shelley!! I actually do use a gradual scrub but a much gentler one recommended by Allure Best Of Beauty edition. Olay Fresh Effects Bead Me Up. The "grit" so to speak is incredibly fine. Unlike any other scrub I've used. Do you feel that I should stop using it also? As strange as it sounds I also have very dry/combo skin & get a buildup of dead skin cells rather quickly & instead of scrubbing my face w/ a cloth I imagined that a mild scrub would b less abrasive. I've never tried anything else because honestly, besides washing, exfoliating & moisturising I've just now begun to b more concerned w/ my skin. I was never taught anything about maintenance other than watching my mother & grandmother slather on the Olay! Lol.. Thank GOD moisturising has been the main key in wrinkle prevention because @ 40 I'm just now beginning to notice some loss of elasticity around my eyes but that's it! I'm bi-racial also which makes a huge difference in skin as compared to caucasian skin. As I'm sure your aware! Any other suggestions for concealing the pores? Mine are right beside my note/cheek area where its very noticeable! Thanks again ladies<3.

Can't see the pores that well but this pic will give you an accurate example of exactly where/what skin type is where the problem is...

Hi lisa! I think shalley explains it very well, she's a wise ladie. Just like she said , it's a process of purging them from deep. Start from clay mask and be constant. I think would be better not to use heavy makeup or primers trying to cover them. Instead use light formulas and let them breathe. When I use full coverage foundations or some primers a few hours later my pores are notorious. And don't feel bad. Some times I don't get answers too😐😄. Take care.

Lisa...I'm familiar with the Olay Bead Me Up. You might want to switch up and try the enyzme peel I mentioned. Another goody I use is glycolic acid serum. Its something I reach for when I feel my skin needs an extra boost of exfoilation. Applied at night and topped off with a non-active moisturizer I wake up the next morning with smooth skin. I rotate on my exfoliatants so if I reach for this one I give it three days and then I'm good. Glycolic acid will address the buildup of dry skin along with balancing out your dry skin. Another thing to look into since you mentioned anti-aging...a drugstore retinol. I've been using one myself for several months now per suggestion of another beauty here on BL. This stuff is a major game changer in my opinion.

Concealing pores...Hourglass has a great one but its on the pricey side. I actually left primers alone once I figured out my skintone program. I didn't like having to add that step in my makeup routine.

Then what is it that you use Patricia that seems to work to conceal or "fill in" your large pores?
