I took out my earring today (forward helix) had it for 5/6 months now and it got stuck so I pushed it through just a tad and I heard a pop then it was bleeding, what is that, why did it pop? It was fine before I did it..

Sounds like it started to close and you broke through the skin.

That happens to me sometimes with my piercings if I don't wear them for a while. For me, it's a layer of skin that grew back and I had to pierce through it.

You should be fine, maybe a little sore like when you first got it. Just try not to leave your earring out for too long.

I had it off for less than 3 mins.

Exactly whar Traci said. I have two forward helixes and both took well over 5-6 months to heal. You really shouldn't take out the jewelry while it is healing because the hole starts to immediately.

It's cartilage so it's going to close up reallllly quick until it's fully healed.
