What was the single most important lesson you ever learnt in makeup, that you always rely on and pass on to others?

For me it would have to be using concealer && highlighting the face. I'm not a pro but I'm getting there :)

I learned so much! so I found everything important. I want from a person who only knew how to use mascara to a person who wears full faces now :) I hade no idea how to do my eyebrows, what to do with concealer and powder, no idea that I hade to blend my eyeshadow no idea how to do catwings. I guess my biggest learn was blending the eyeshadows etc :) that did so much for me.

Invest in quality tools. I used to think that investing in quality brushes and other beauty tools was just a marketing scheme until I bought a shu uemura eyelash curler and realized that while its important to have good technique for applying makeup, the proper tools will make you even better :)

Those are all such good points. I don't think I ever gave thought to blending as much before I came on this site. Danielle you do have amazing eyebrows! I think technique is such a big part of feeling good and confident on what we portray on the outside that reflects what's within. I'm no poet or spiritual person but I think makeup really does help so so many feel good about themselves
