Leggings or Pants debate?

My 23 year old niece has a thing for leggings. I don't care for the way she styles them. She likes wearing them with short shirts. Now I'm no prude and do enjoy a great pair of leggings myself however I feel that they are called leggings for a reason. They are just that...leggings not pants. I believe they should be worn with shirts that cover your derriere. How do you ladies feel about this topic.

I wear leggings as pants allllll the time and my boyfriend hates it lmfao but honestly my butt is covered. I don't know why society has to sexualize everything like that. Guys can walk around shirtless but girls are slut shamed for wearing pants made of a thin material.

@Grace K you said your butt is covered when you wear them where as my niece butt is never covered. lol. I've never seen guys just walk around the streets and such without shirts. Maybe when at home or cutting the grass yeah.

I wear leggings quite a bit. My butt isn't always "fully" covered but usually mostly covered and I always wear something loose on top like an oversized sweater.

I wear leggings as pants a lot of the time..but yes my booty is at least half way covered..&I've seen dudes walking shirtless on the streets lol.

I wear leggings a lot and I usually try to cover my but. Leggings are not pants however they are comfortable and mine come with some fluffy material in the inside so... Yea.

I really don't wear leggings because they would always make fun of you because you don't have "an ass." I personally don't think it doesn't matter if your butt is covered or not just as long as your butt isnt hanging out of your laggi ngs. And yes I have seen dudes shirtless.
