Do you use Beauty Blenders on gigs?

I've been wanting to pick up a few Beauty Blenders for my kit, but I'm not sure if I should. How would I use them on different clients if I have no on the job sink available? It would take up a lot of time to constantly go wash the sponge after every use, then come back to my next client. I would think that I would need a new one on every clients'/ models' face. But that would become too expensive. How do you use them? Like, do you have 20 of them on hand, or do you have a bowl next to you with makeup remover in it so that its fresh for the next client? I would think to use it for one on one personal clients.

So far I've been using my brushes and disposable wedge sponges.

I definitely wouldn't reuse the sponge on another client after I had already used it. Beauty Blenders are nice because of the seamless application and gorgeous finish they give but if there was no sink easily accessible, i would just use a brush. They are a great addition to your kit when you have the means to use them in a sanitary way, so I say pick a few up to have on hand. If you are worried about dropping too much cash on them, pick up one of the Sonia Kashuk sponges just to see if you like it.

I use them, however I use the dupe ones from Ulta that are $3-4 each. That way I can use them and then set them aside to wash later but I grab a new one for each person. They are just as good as the regular ones

Qosmedix.com has a blending sponge and I believe that that are less than $2 a piece. I have a few but I only use them when I don't have a large party or only on the bride. I've never owned a Beauty Blender so I don't know how durable they are but the Qosmedix sponge will tear if you are too hard when squeezing them.

I buy the one's from ebay and they work just as well as the real beauty belnders! My clients always compliment the sponges lol... After i'm done with a job I wash them with dish washing soap, but for some reason the color never seams to fully come out of the sponge.

Gabriella G, and others.. you can use brush cleaner OR eye makeup remover to get that left over stain out of your beauty blender:) Just don't let makeup sit in it for more than overnight. Mine look like new:) I wash in the sink first before applying the makeup remover or brush cleaner.

I honestly only use it on myself or if I have a small gig so that I can use it. It's too much work to have many and use them on many faces. It's such a hassle to clean after which is why I only use them on myself sometimes.

My teacher taught me a trick using three brushes and a brush cleansing spray. Use one brush, spray it and put it back in your belt/on the counter, use the second brush, spray, put away, use the third brush, spray put away. By the time you're back to the first brush its been disinfected and should be dry enough to use, this way you have a rotation of clean brushes going. You could probably do the same with the sponge, it might just need a few more sprays and a more thorough wipe down but I would imagine the trick would work about the same. Then obviously when the gig is done you can deep clean them.

yes I use them on jobs. I keep several on hand. I use a clean one for each face then when I get home everything gets sanitized with an antibacterial cleanser. however I do mostly special events like weddings. if I were doing a ton of models for a fashion show I would likely just use disposable sponges to be honest
