When you wash your hair everyday you have your scalp producing more oils because its accustomed to being washed everyday. Try every other day. YES you will go through that oily stringy stage for like a couple of weeks but your scalp will stop producing as much oil and it will become use to getting washed every other day. I hope this helps.

For the time being try some buns and updos for the "no wash" days.

Baby powder works wonders and can last longer than dry shampoo.

Dry shampoo helps, I hear Batiste (I think that's how you spell it) has amazing dry shampoo and it's not too expensive either. Also try not washing your hair everyday. Start by washing it every other day, then when your hair gets adjusted to that, start going two days without washing it and so on.

Dry shampoo or if you want to save a few bucks use baby shampoo.

You may just have to wash everyday, but maybe try a sulfate free shampoo like L'Oreals Everpure lines. I don't mind washing my hair everyday because my hair will not style if I don't. You may just have oily hair (mines thick and course) but make sure you are using a conditioner too, a lot of people skip that because they think it is making hair oily, but when you don't use, it just makes your hair worse. I know lots of people make a big deal about how washing hair everyday is bad, but for some people you just have to, everyones hair is different, so do what you have to do or go with nasty looking hair... Also maybe try showering in the morning to help it look less dirty or your problem could be that you sleep on wet hair (which can really make a huge difference) by doing that you risk having sticky looking matted hair, and risk the chance of frizz and split ends. Air drying is fine but sleeping on it is not good...
