Going red... again. Advice needed.

So this is not the first time I decided to go red. I do know what I am doing. However I wanted some other opinions. I went from black to red hair. Did that in the salon. When regrowth happened I couldn't afford to go anymore. So I did it myself. My hair color is close to my natural color. However it's light to medium brown with bits of blonde in it. Last time I used 30 developer and hi color hilights from loreal. Since my hair is light brown I do not need this it will cause too much bleaching. I am also dying my hair extensions which are number 4. 30 will damage them badly. I don't really need to life much color at all. My hair isn't very dark. I don't want that bright neon like red. I want something darker but still intense red like. Kind of like this... What do you recommend?

You could still use the loreal color, I used it for touch ups all the time on my red hair. I'd use a 10 developer though. Loreal has other reds that aren't for dark hair that use 20 developer (I still would use 10) but it would be less damage. I don't remember the color right now but I dye my moms hair with a really pretty auburn and it's dark but very red for a few weeks then fades to a pretty red brown.

I use ion brights from Sallys. Red is the color and it doesn't take any developer so its not damaging to your hair :)

My hair is medium brown right now. The first time I used 30 volume. I was thinking of going down to 20. I am still wanting a dark red. Not so in your face. More of a cool red vs an orangey red this time. I think cooler red is better suited for my skin tone. This is my current color

YOU DO NOT USE A 30 on light hair! You use a 10-20.
