Hello Beauties...
Ok, so I'm slowly but surely getting a nice KIT going, and I desperately want to use Makeup Forever's HD Foundations...but how did you all do it?
I just can't afford to buy 15 shades of 40€ a bottle Foundation right now...
Any recommendations on how you all went about accumulating all of that? I just think if I buy it all at once my husband might murder me!
I sincerely appreciate all your help!
Love,

Maybe buy a super fair one, super dark and a couple medium tones and then custom mix them based on your client? That's what I do and it works well for me

buy 1 or 2 shades every paycheck, over time you will own them all. If you currently have products you don't like from Sephora, return them & exchange it for what you need/want. Sephora has a generous return policy, even without a receipt. Last week i returned a product i got a year ago & they still took it back.

What you can do is get several of the lightest and darkest shades. That way you can just mix to custom make a foundation color for your clients and it will cover a wider shade range spectrum for your kit without needing to buy all at once.

Thank you all SOO much!! I think what I will do is a little combination of the two:
Start with buying three or four key shades on the spectrum, and with each paycheck, buy a new shade in between!
Thanks so much for your help!!

I buy the lightest shade, a white, 2 medium shades and the darkest then you can just mix. you don't need to buy every shade the line makes that's way too expensive, I agree

If you are to become a master artist mixing and customizing any shade, working with what you have is a skill you must develop. Having every shade will make you lazy and a cripple. Plus its heavy to lug around.

Go to the extreme ends of the color spectrum - YOUR extreme - i.e [a bit below] the Darkest clients you USUALLY work with and [a bit above] the Lightest client you usually work with. It makes no sense to stock your kit with the darkest of dark if you only do black clients once in a blue moon, etc.

Get about 3 shades, 2 near your extreme and 1 in the centre.

How do you bridge the gap? FOUNDATION ADJUSTERS.
A good silicon foundation adjuster - compatible with MUFE HD - is the Face Atelier Ultra in Zero -, Zero +, Zero ++ and Heat. You can order this online from camerareadycosmetics.com

You will probably have to spare a few mL of foundation and adjuster to get the hang of mixing and matching, but it is worth it. A LITTLE! goes a long way. You may have to do some color theory study to understand how to use them effectively, but that is study you should have done in any case.

If you can afford to get more mid tone foundations go for it, it will make things easier.
