With both of those, I'd start with a simple line on your upper lashline. For the "double up" I'd add a thin line on the outer corner of your lower lashline, and make sure you connect the two at the corner :) for the basic, add a teeny, thin line of eyeliner at the inner corner of your eye. Don't bring it back too far, and connect in on the inner corner in a sort of wing-shape (otherwise it might not look right).

If you don't like the way pencil eyeliner looks you can use a felt tip liquid eyeliner or a gel liner with an angled brush, both allow for more precision than pencils, as a general rule. It just has to do with what you're most comfortable with :) personally I love my pencil liners, but I'm also not a big fan of super precise lines.
