I'd suggest going to the store, finding the foundation you want, and asking one of the employees for a sample. I think they can give you samples of any foundation, though.

Well just go up to the employee and let them know you may want to buy a foundation but you don't know where to begin. They did do this testing to see what kind of skin type you have then they will suggest several different kinds of foundations and let you take little samples home.

It's really easy, just ask one of the ladies or men working there if you could get a sample of, let's say urban decay naked skin, and they'll go get a sample container and match you to your color if you don't already know it. Then they should put it in a little zip closed bag with the name of the product and the number of the color :) I've gotten up to 3 samples before lol. I'm a very indecisive girl so I bought them all in the end but the samples really help :)

I looked online to see which ones I liked coverage wise,the finish, price and all that stuff, made a little list of the ones that interested me and went to sephora and got some..but limit 3 I don't know about other sephoras tho.
