I've heard great things about coconut oil for moisture. I thought that oil was meant to seal in moisture but anyways! How would I use it to moisturize my face? Help?!

I used coconut oil for about a year and I thought it was helping my skin, but I honestly don't think it did. I would just take a small scoop and a apply over face. I have gotten so much better results for my skin by using CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and then mixing two drops of Vitamin E Oil (I mainly do this for dark spots and to even skin tone, not necessarily for dryness) with CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion and my skin has been so much better! My skin was at the point it was peeling even with the use of coconut oil, but with the CeraVe my skin looks and feels better. I do like using coconut oil on my hair though (for a deep conditioner) and I mix it with sugar and use as an exfoliator before shaving

Also CeraVe makes a facial moisturizer but I think the moisturizing lotion works just as well

Oh wow, you and I have the same EXACT problem! I'll defiantly try CeraVe! If I can find it!

Use it over a cream, as it tends to absorb more. I personally love my CeraVe cream ( not lotion, creams absorb more ) by massaging it on your skin. You can even do certain facial massages to help drain your lymph nodes ♥

Yayyyy!!
Katrina, I'd question why! Doctors are trained to sell crap, and not to sell health!! If you read a bit about natural oils you'll find that they do the opposite, Oils banish the nasty oils skin produces and helps unclog pores as well so that they can breathe! I really wish they'd change the health industry cause it's ridic!!

@Isabel The best deals may be from a wholesale club like Costco or BJ's ☺ I hope your dry skin clears up ♥♥♥

Coconut oil DOES seal in moisture, it is a sealant, not a moisturizer.
