I usually do it for like 15 to 20 minutes then wash it out. it depends on how much time you think you need. I have a lot of hair that's why I have it in that long.

I actually have it on right now! I bought an organic coconut oil and every night I apply it to my hair and leave it on the entire night. I recently bought a silk pillowcase because it also prevents hair breakage ( this is probably too much information) but I just thought you should check that out also. I recently dyed my hair, and my hairstylist damaged it pretty bad that it is very dry. But the coconut oil makes it look and feel better.

The oil itself won't make your hair grow but it could make your hair healthier which could speed up growth.

My friends used coconut oil on their hair and it left it greasy looking for over a week and they took a shower everyday and even when swimming a lot.
