Just a little tiny bit of blush, some lip gloss and maybe a slightly sparkly light eyeshadow, to start out inexpensively, maybe the pink Hard Candy palette for eyes from Wal-mart.

I wore make up in the 7th grade. I hate to admit that I really didnt know what was "appropiate".
Necessary essentials:
(All drugstore- recommend it for beginners)
• mascara + eye lash curler
• bb cream (unless she has nice skin)
• concealer (conceal blemishes)
• setting powder
• baby lips! They are very appropriate I find for middle schoolers because they are nice lip balms that add a pretty tint to the lips :)
• lip gloss

All she needs is gloss. a light color. and maybe clear mascara to stretch out her lashes. she's only 7th grade. she should have a glow in her skin which eliminates the need for blush. when I was her age I was super skincare girl..I was using my moms scrubs n mask. she should definitely make sure her skin is taken care of a good moisturer is enough to keep her n that natural glow arena.
wait for everything wks when she's older..
maybe sparkly shadow and colored gloss for special occasions. but for everyday like you asked. she doesn't need a lot at all.

I really wouldn't give her much makeup. You don't want her to become dependent on it. Some lipgloss and clear mascara should be good.

I like Kelly's suggestion. Maybe a bit of highlighter in place of the blush? Or add some mascara BUT do the tissue trick and wipe off most of it so you're more tinting the lashes than anything.

Yeah, in 7th grade you definitely want to keep makeup to a minimum and just enhance her natural features. I personally think a little blush and lip gloss is all you need at that age if that. she's got plenty of years to play with makeup.

Lip gloss for sure! I had a ton of lip glosses back in seventh grade.
