Megan your beautiful, if you wear just mascara on your top eyelashes and not on your bottoms it makes your eyes pop to sometimes I do it myself n makes your eyes really stand out

Purple and gold will really look nice, and avoid wearing pink and red. I did a purple eye (rather dark) with a bright warm gold on my inner lids, and my eyes looked very bright and they were the focal point of my face. I have glasses, which I use to cheat. They bring attention to my eyes. Go for a bold pair that suit your face shape (Michelle phan has a whole video on YouTube) and play with purple and gold across your lids.
