Miracle Skin Transformer and Smashbox are both great for mattifying.

Smashbox photo finish primer is my favorite but if your looking for something more affordable loreal magic perfecting base

Sorry Linda P. I have to say smashbox photo finish primer is on my worsts list. It is really oily feeling for a primer that is "oil free" and makes my face shine like a head light. I would suggest 100% pure or Tarte 12 BB cream primer.

I have to agree with Jennifer. Right now I'm using cover fx and its working decent I would definately give it a try. I also like to set with rimmel stay matte which is a great product.

I really like tarte's primer (I can't remember the name specifically: it has Amazonian clay in it which helps absorb oil)

Hourglass Mineral Veil is incredible. I used to always get the dreaded t-zone oil wash after a few hours but now with this primer, I don't have to worry about it. Fairly expensive, but worth avoiding all those touch-ups.

Surprisingly, my favorite mattifying primer to date is No.7's Shine Free Primer... I suffer from my Sicilian genes and I would usually be able to use 2 blotting papers per hour.. This stuff is awesome AND under $10.. I have tried them all and I actually saw somebody suggest it on a board on Beautylish.. I would definitely try it.
